COLCORD HORNET FOOTBALL
It is a privilege to participate in athletics at Colcord. Certain rules apply and must be followed by the student in order for him to continue in the Hornet Athletic program. Different rules may apply to different sports and it is up to the discretion of the Coach on how to implement and enforce the rules in each sport. Rules for Football are, but not limited to the following:
The Colcord Football Program believes in the “TEAM” concept, uniformity, discipline, and responsibility. These are ideas we want our players to adhere to.
Applies to all seasons:
1) No jewelry such as earrings, nose rings, necklaces, etc. will be allowed by a player in the Field House or on the field.
2) No offensive or inappropriate language (swearing) on or off the field will be tolerated.
3) No stealing will be tolerated in the Field House.
4) Insubordination of any kind will not be accepted.
Make-up Policy for in-season practices, weight lifting, and film sessions:
If you are late, leave early, or miss any part of practice (which includes weight lifting and film sessions) and you notify one of your football coaches in advance to an absence, you will have make-up.
Make-up is not a punishment; it is you, making up what you missed. It’s not fair for the other team members to work hard and condition in practice and you miss it and not have to make it up.
We as your Football Coaches will hold you accountable for your actions and decisions you make.
Make-up will be after the following days practice. It will consist of whatever conditioning you missed.
